Food's not as good as the Crown and Goose, admittedly, but definitely "decent". Dingwalls & accompanying Bar Risa (although it wasn't called that when I lived there) is pretty banging on a weekend evening. And the only people who don't like the Lock Tavern (very good food, excellent beer on tap) are people who think it's "too cool" (if you think you're cool enough to hang out there, you're right - and vice versa). It's too crowded on the weekend but that's because it's good. Head there on a week night. I could go on. Apologies for the rant, Blogger, but as a former resident of Camden I feel like I have to stand up for it. There's loads of great places to drink there - unless you're the kind of person who won't go to a pub because it's "too cool", "too chavvy" (i.e. too common), "too loud", or what have you.
